Antiqued?

I received this as a long desired gift. Am thrilled with detail and overall appearance. Unfortunately, however, it is NOT antiqued as advertised. Rather, there is very little ageing to the appearance. It is simply bone white. Sadly, this means that details are somewhat lost. A little darker antiquing would have provided more contrast to the seams and boosted the overall appearance. If it were antiqued as pictured, it would have been very close to perfect.
